Are you a woman or queer person who supports abortion rights but hasn’t been involved in activism before? Do you see the impact of gender inequality in the world around you but don’t really see yourself as a frontline feminist? Have you got plenty to say but not been sure if activist spaces are for you?
Alliance for choice would like to invite you to participate in 2 workshops coming up soon!
Mon 23rd March 7-9pm
Sat 4th April (time to be arranged with participants)
Both workshops will take place in South Belfast with venues still to be confirmed. The first will be a conversation among non-activists so that we can hear about the things that are important to you. The second will be a joint conversation with some seasoned activists so that you can share your ideas together and learn from each other.
Now for the best part – both of the workshops will be recorded and released online as a series of short films in Summer 2020. We think filming these conversations can help others connect with how reproductive justice and other feminist issues affect their everyday lives, even if they’ve never had the confidence or the opportunity to speak out about that before.
So if you feel ready to start exploring these ideas on camera in a supportive workshop environment, we’d love to hear from you! We have limited spaces available and will be seeking to recruit participants from a diverse cross section of backgrounds. So if you are interested please email alliancechoice4@gmail.com and tell us a bit about yourself.
