After the news in February about the backlog of unmet appointments at Marie Stopes Clinics in England, women from Ireland and Northern Ireland now need to find other ways of addressing their crisis pregnancies where demand at BPAS and NUPAS will already be over subscribed.
The wonderful team at the Abortion Support Network have put this helpful summary together which we will replicate in full here with links;

Help From Other Organisations
ASN can offer financial assistance, accommodation in volunteer homes and confidential, non-judgmental information and advice. However, we are not doctors or counsellors. For medical information, help to make your decision, or early medical abortion pills by post, these organisations may be able to help. This list includes local family planning agencies, abortion clinics in England, The Netherlands and Belgium, and reputable providers of safe but illegal abortion pills. Scroll down.

Please be aware that there are some rogue family planning ‘clinics’ in Ireland and Northern Ireland that do not provide accurate, impartial information about pregnancy and abortion options, but seek to influence your decision about abortion without disclosing their anti-abortion beliefs. In contrast, the organisations listed above are reputable, unbiased organisations who can talk to you about all of your options when facing a crisis pregnancy.

Reputable providers of Early Medical Abortion Pills
We know many people have no alternative but to seek Early Medical Abortion Pills online. While the World Health Organisation has said that Early Medical Abortion pills are safe, even when taken outside of clinical setting, there are risks associated with buying medication online and we do not advise anyone to take medication without qualified medical supervision if at all possible.
If you have no other option, in our experience both Women Help Women and Women on Web are reputable organisations who can provide Early Medical Abortion pills as well as advice and support. If you visit their websites you will find information about how these pills work, their safety and any side effects. Both organisations provide an online medical consultation. Both organisations ask for a donation for the pills. ASN does not provide funding for these pills and receives no payments or other benefits from anyone who uses these services. ASN does not accept any liability in respect of the actions of either organisation.
Providers outside of England
Update February 2017. We have heard that some clients are having issues getting appointments at Marie Stopes clinics in England, and that bpas and NUPAS clinics are quite busy as a result. We will do our best to get you an appointment in England at the earliest date possible, and also do our best to offset costs if you are pushed into a later/more expensive price point due to lack of available appointments. However we do not want our clients to panic as this is a busy time of year every year and we always get through it!
Clients will still be able to access abortions in England via bpas and NUPAS. There is also the Liverpool Women’s Hospital (click on “Termination of Pregnancy) which will do abortions up to 12 weeks 5 days for £435.
However there may be delays in getting appointments and/or only appointments in non-traditional places for Irish clients to travel to. Clients in Dublin and Cork may find that it is easier to travel to Brussels or Amsterdam. First trimester procedures in Brussels and second trimester procedures in Amsterdam will be less expensive in than in England even when you take flight and accommodation costs into account, although clients will need a passport or a European ID to travel and also an overnight stay.
BRUSSELS
Time limit: 12 weeks from conception or 14 weeks from first day of LMP (Last Menstrual period). Belgium has a 6 day wait period but the 6 days begin when you start emailing the clinic. The clinic is 30 minutes from Brussels International Airport (10 minute train to city central, 10 minutes on the metro, 5 minute walk) or a one hour bus from Brussels South. The clinic will give all the information about travel but does not have advice on hotels. These can be found using any travel website. The clinic is staffed with English speakers.
COST: 280Euro (this is a discount for N/Irish/IOM – local women pay 454)
Clinic: Sjerp-Dilemma-VUB
Triomflaan 1, 1050 Brussels
Enterance 7, building Y
Post : Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels
Tel. 0032 2 629 23 40
AMSTERDAM
In The Netherlands, abortion is available up to 22 weeks. Dutch law requires a delay time of five days between the first consultation and the induced abortion. This first consultation can either be with the clinic’s doctor, your general practitioner, your gynaecologist or a counsellor. These clinics have English speakers.
A first trimester treatment costs €620 (£528); a second trimester treatment €850 (£724). This is a huge discount for clients who are post 19 w, which is €1550/£1350 in the UK
